Green Country Aircraft is a leading contract manufacturer within the aerospace industry, supplying airframe custom parts to OEMs and their Tier 1 suppliers. We have decades of experience operating within the quality requirements of the aerospace industry.
With broad aerospace hydroforming capabilities that include complex sheet metal fabrication, Green Country Aircraft delivers on industry demands. We have six hydro-form presses with tonnage capacities that range from 200 to 2,000 and sizes from 14” diameter to 40” X 70”. The GCA team is experienced at processing complex shapes at low to very high volumes using a variety of materials.
We also have in-house capabilities to heat treat aluminum to AMS 2770.
Green Country Aircraft has in-house capabilities to fusion weld to D17.1 for aluminum, titanium, inconel and stainless steel. These on-site services allow us to deliver increased value to our customers by compressing production schedules and reducing costs as compared to sub-contracting to sub-tier suppliers.
Our expert welders are also AWS D17.2 qualified for aerospace applications.
Green Country Aircraft uses 3- and 5-axis vertical CNC machining centers to machine complex shapes from various base metals such as aluminum, steel and stainless steel. We have a machine size capacity of up to 40″ x 30″ x 120″ in length. Our skilled machinists produce products to the most stringent specifications, backed by extensive programming and engineering capabilities to complement our manufacturing excellence.
Our wide range of experience contributes to the quality standards that GCA has implemented as well as to promoting and maintaining safety and quality in the workplace.
Green Country Aircraft provides engineering services through assembly with benchtop installation of nut plates, bearings, HI-LOK, grounding studs, bonding, bushings and fillet/fay sealing and welding. We have also executed assembly, testing and project management of numerous ground support components, including portable GSE equipment for commercial jet engine cleaning.
Our demonstrated experience in delivering assembled components to our customers aids in simplifying supply chain and handling costs.
Green Country Aircraft maintains a general inspection area and a Zeiss Contura G2 programmable CMM machine in climate-controlled areas separate from the rest of the facility. These areas are continuously monitored for temperature and humidity conditions. AS9102 first-article inspections are typically performed on the CMM and we annually process about 1,200 FAI data packages. Hardness and conductivity measuring capabilities are also performed in the quality laboratory. Tools are calibrated at a third-party NIST traceable calibration laboratory and maintained in our calibration database.
Green Country Aircraft’s account services team manages each customer’s entire program from start to finish, providing status updates regularly via the customer-formatted report and our newest Jobboss automated report. This report can be generated at any time to give real-time accurate status for each individual part. Our account services team is readily available for phone calls or status updates with the customer regarding each specific program.
When a purchase order is placed, all parts go through a quick-turn, comprehensive contract-review process that is evaluated by every department at GCA before the job is released to the shop floor. We collectively assess required testing and possible risks that may be involved with the job and subsequently lay out a plan for choosing sub-tier suppliers and meeting the program schedule. We have CNC programmers and software for all equipment in-house, allowing resource availability to start programming parts immediately. We also utilize 2D programmers that can work on any sheet metal parts.
Daily meetings among our program, production, purchasing and shipping managers keep everyone in the loop on the status of programs and ensure that all requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. Our purchasing team manages all sub-tier suppliers and provides daily updates on the status of parts and their due dates throughout the process.
